Privacy policy
Last updated 18 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data TutorNorth collects, why, and what you can do about it. TutorNorth is run from Singapore, and we follow Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we also aim to meet the GDPR and UK GDPR.
Who we are
TutorNorth makes resources for private tutors. You can reach us, including our data protection contact, at hello@tutornorth.com.
What we collect
- Your email address (and your name, if you give it) when you ask for a free pack or updates.
- Purchase records when you buy something. Payments are processed by our sales platform; we never see or store your card details.
- Anything you send us by email.
- Basic technical data such as the pages requested and your IP address, which our hosting provider handles to keep the site secure and working. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To send you the pack or product you asked for.
- To send occasional TutorNorth emails about new resources, if you agreed to them.
- To answer your messages and provide support.
- To keep records we are legally required to keep, such as sales records.
We only use your data for these purposes. We do not sell it.
Who processes it for us
We use trusted service providers to run TutorNorth: Cloudflare (website hosting and email forwarding), our email newsletter provider, and our sales platform, which acts as the merchant of record for purchases. Some of these providers store data outside Singapore. We choose providers that protect personal data to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of our emails, or by emailing us. We act on it promptly.
- Access or correct your data by emailing hello@tutornorth.com.
- Withdraw consent or ask us to delete your data. We will do so unless we must keep a record by law, for example of a purchase.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you remain subscribed and delete it after you unsubscribe, apart from a record that you opted out. Purchase records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Security
We use reputable providers, keep access to your data limited, and never ask for passwords by email. If a data breach is likely to cause you significant harm, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
