Lesson Log Kit.
Everyone keeps a lesson log for a fortnight and then stops. Say what happened in one sentence and Claude writes the row, records the lessons that didn't happen so you can still bill them, and adds up the month.

What's inside
tutor-lesson-logLOG-FORMAT.mdHow it works
- Download the ZIP and unzip it.
- In Claude, go to Customize, Skills, then Add, Upload skill, and upload the skill files.
- Say "Set me up." The setup skill asks about your subjects, exam system and students, then writes your profile, a file per student and your project instructions, and runs a test.
- After a lesson, say it how you'd say it out loud: "Log today's lesson for Maya: did quadratics, she finally got completing the square, still slow factorising, set p42." Or just "Ben no-showed today."
- At the end of the month, ask "What does Ben's month add up to?" and you get taught hours, billable hours under your own cancellation rule, attendance and the amount.
Works on every Claude plan, including Free, with Code execution and file creation turned on in Settings.
What it won't do
- Write a win you didn't mention, or a date it hasn't worked out. Anything it assumed is marked [CHECK].
- Add up your month in its head. Every hour and total is computed in code, then checked a second way.
- Put a surname, a school, or a diagnosis or counselling detail in the log, even if your note had one. Those rows get read back into parent updates and invoices.
- Tell you what a run of cancellations means, or draft the message about it. It counts what's there and stops.
This is the input the rest of them want. Six TutorNorth skills already read the lesson log, in the Tutor Skill Pack, the Tutor Business Kit, the Exam Countdown Planner and the Parent Talk Kit. This is the one that writes it.
